Yukta Taneja is an Indian Photographer & Visual Artist based between New York and Jaipur. The overarching theme in Taneja’s practice stems from a place of humanity. Her work often explores notions of identity and origin.

Rooted in personal mythology, her current series “Mukhi” is a visual meditation on the blue hued Hindu deity Shiva. Through conceptual fine art portraits, she reflects on the emotional and spiritual wavelengths of the human condition.

She holds a Master’s degree in Digital Photography from the prestigious School of Visual Arts and a BFA degree in Photography from Parsons School of Design. Taneja’s work has been exhibited in galleries including the Anna-Maria, Stephen Kellen Gallery and the Gramercy Gallery in New York City.
